VIO-DION DUO is a fusion of two artists with different temperaments and two completely different instruments. On the one hand, the violin – an instrument of long-established tradition, designed for linear performance; on the other hand, the accordion – a relatively young instrument, whose modern design was developed only a few decades ago, intended for multi-voice performance.
Malwina and Krzysztof Lutrzykowski have been performing together since 2011. They are graduates of F. Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz (MA programme) and of S. Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk (PhD programme). The artists were connected by their love of contemporary music.
